  • If you are using version 7 of the Internet Explorer browser, click on the Feeds buttton above the page display (it's an orange square with some white curves), and click on the "Subscribe to this feed" link. To subscribe using earlier versions of Internet Explorer, or other browsers, err, I am afraid I do not know.

To subscribe if you are using the Opera browser

  • If you are using the Opera browser, click on the "Subscribe to this Blog's feed" link with button 2 of your mouse (probably the right hand button), select Copy, click on Feeds in the action bar at the top of the Browser, select "Manage feeds ...", click on "New", select the text in the "Address" field, and paste the contents of your clipboard (which will be the blog subscription address you copied earlier). Clock on "Save". The whole process might take less time than reading the above.

Post Restaurant

Postbrasserie

It was Pam's uncle's birthday recently and he treated us, along with some other members of the family, to a meal at Post, Tony Tobin's new restaurant in Banstead.

Now we didn't go to the restaurant proper but ate in the lively brasserie downstairs. It was very enjoyable, with the food more than making up for the wine waiter bringing a bottle of wine that (a) had already been opened and (b) was warm enough to do the washing up in.
